The Full Monty
Personally, I didn't care for the movie " The Full Monty." I felt bad for the little kid having to deal with his immature father. He didn't act a good role model for him. When he made the decision to strip to earn child support money, I thought to myself "Really?" He acts like it's his last resort but really he could have gotten a security job like his friend or even his ex-wife said she could hook him up with a job at the factory where she works. I felt embarassed for the kid when his father got caught by the police and he was brought it also. In the article, it states that "for a fold that has much to say about the cahnges in the puble pereption of what it means to be a man, The Full Monty is also ( probably unintentionally) very revealing about women as well." The way the women were acting about the Chippindales coming to town was appauling. It's one thing if you went to it but going around faulting that you loved it is a different story.I think the way the movie portrayed these tough, steel-working men was unrealistic to them taking the job as a striper. If they were worried about their diginity why would they choose to strip over some the other jobs presented to them. It just didn't make sense.I like the setting of the movie and the english accents but that is about it.
